About
Alysha Newman is a three-time Olympian in pole vault and a Paris 2024 bronze medalist, making history as the first Canadian woman to medal in pole vault at the Olympics. One of Canada’s most decorated track and field athletes, she is a Commonwealth Games champion, Pan American Games medalist, and a Canadian national team member from 2011 to 2024. She holds both the Canadian indoor and outdoor records (4.85 meters), setting the standard for excellence in her sport. Proudly representing her hometown, Alysha has played a vital role in putting Bolton on the map athletically.
Beyond her achievements on the field, Alysha is a driving force behind the future of sports infrastructure in her community. As a founding committee member of the Bolton High Performance Athletic Center (BHPAC), she is leading fundraising efforts and overseeing the development of the facility, ensuring it becomes a premier hub for high-performance training and athlete development. Her role as Media Relations & Project Co-Leader allows her to advocate for the center’s mission while fostering strong partnerships to bring this vision to life.
In addition to her work with BHPAC, Alysha is the Chief Talent Officer and Founding Partner of Hyper Talent, a next-generation talent management company revolutionizing career navigation for elite professionals. With firsthand experience in discipline, resilience, and brand building, she leads Hyper Talent’s mission to blend human expertise with cutting-edge AI solutions, setting a new standard in strategic career management.
A graduate of the University of Miami with a degree in Kinesiology & Sports Medicine, Alysha applies her expertise to sports performance, career development, and strategic leadership. With her deep commitment to advancing both individual and community success, she continues to shape the future of athletics and talent development on a global scale.
